PAPER SOLDIERS
The illustrated history of printed paper armies of the 18th, 19th & 20th centuries.
Edward Ryan. A monster coffee table format book of 538 pages illustrated in full colour. You wouldn't think there was that much to say about cut out paper toy soldiers but you would be wrong. Paper figures are a bit of a backwater in the hobby so it's all power to the publishers for giving this book their backing. Covers all the printers of paper sheets by country of origin, I find the illustrations an absolute treasure trove of inspiration for modelling ideas and uniform detail. Published 1995. New Cavendish Books Ltd. (Goden Age Editions) ISBN 0-904568-96-2.
