THE GREAT BOOK OF HOLLOW-CAST FIGURES
Norman Joplin. Coffee table style, hardback 341 pages, illustrated throughout in colour. A synopsis of hollow-cast figure manufacture from 1893 to 1966 is followed by a comprehensive A-Z of British manufacturers, giving a brief history of each company illustrated with examples of figures produced. The section on BRITAINS only covers the non-military ranges in order to avoid overlap with Opie's book on BRITAINS from the same publisher (see below). This book has become the standard reference work for identifying figures of the smaller UK hollow-cast manufacturers.
