This page shows various toy soldiers depicting troops of the 18th Century

A classic toy soldier, a tin flat of Frederick the Great, made in Germany probably around the 1870's, it is in 60mm scale. Flats, as the name suggests, are two dimensional wafer thin figures. They were cast in moulds engraved into slate and it is testament to their quality that some of these moulds have been in use for over a hundred years.

A Continental officer spurs his horse forward

A Continental Light Dragoon, Made from HELMET kit parts. The horse was originally made by BRITAINS for their ACW SWOPPET range, when they were replaced by the DEETAIL range HELMET bought out the remaining stock to provide the mounts in their kits.
